Jones Road’s New Tinted Moisturizer Gave Us Silky Coverage

The phrase “you are enough” really had its moment over the last couple of years, huh? It’s an important truth to remember, but anything seems trite when you see it on enough t-shirts.

The thing is… you really are enough! And I assume you want your makeup to be, too.

Available April 8, Jones Road’s latest launch is a lightweight tinted moisturizer with “just enough” coverage to warrant its ultra-cute (and not at all overused in this context) name. Keep reading for all the details on Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer—plus team Byrdie’s honest reviews.

The Inspiration

“On days when I’m running errands and don’t want a lot of makeup, this is my go-to to just make me look and feel better. It really is Just Enough,” explained brand founder Bobbi Brown.

The launch also coincides with the brand’s first-ever big lifestyle campaign (it’s helpful that Just Enough “personifies” the entire look they’re selling). The multi-media campaign features five personas—the Modern Mom, the It Girl, the Entrepreneur, the Confident Woman, and the Wellness Expert—all Jones Road girlies through and through.

The Formula

Working to improve hydration and protect the skin’s moisture barrier from water loss, Just Enough was crafted for minimal makeup days when you want your skin to look like your skin… with a little bit of blur and evening out. It’s available in 16 shades, all of which correspond to Jones Road’s What the Foundation lineup.

The brand recommends you apply the product directly to your face, avoiding the eyes and using either your fingers or Jones Road’s Skin Brush to blend it in. If you want extra coverage (Just Enough is just enough, but sometimes you want a little more), they recommend pairing it with The Face Pencil.
